A family favorite for years. Classic cheesecake is the best. A whole one, slice or cheesecake cupcake. Raspberry sandwich cookies are soft and delicious. Small cupcake cheesecakes are very soft and yummy. Key lime cheesecake is a favorite too.

This cheesecake is the dessert version of a yawn. Very disappointed.

Yum yum yum, over 25 different toppings on some great cheesecakes. They also carry cheesecake cupcakes which are just as good as they sound. Very reasonable prices, only $11 for a family size cake, they also have a much larger cake but not sure of the price.

Stick with the original flavor. We love the "crustless" little gem. The small one is plenty for a small family and you can create your own toppings. Dense, less tart, more sweet with a hint of almond. The best.

I work in the area and purchase cakes here frequently. I love their cheesecakes and love the fact that their is not a graham cracker crust! I agree with previous reviews that are disappointed in the toppings, fresh is much preferable to the canned stuff they serve, that is really the only improvement that could be made. Very affordable and delicious cheesecake, my family requests it for each special occasion.

The service was friendly, the place was clean, and they had a great selection. The problem was I found the Cheesecake bland, and they had no graham cracker crust. The cherries were also out of a can (not real fruit). I was hoping this place would be great, since we traveled 2 hours and enjoy traveling for unique products but in my opinion it was not worth trying or going back to. I found Peteet's Famous Cheesecake in Oak Park had great flavor and would go there.

GREAT cheesecake, right at the end of my street (almost)! It's a given that it's always my job to "bring the cheesecake!" I've had several of the specialty flavors, as well as the sugar free and plain. All are very good- even the sugar free!

I happened to be getting an oil change and had some time to kill, so I went for a walk in that little area by 9 Mile and Mack where I stumbled upon a little shop that sells one of my most favorite things - CHEESECAKE! So, I was checking out their cases and trying to not buy something when I made the fatal mistake! I asked the lady behind the counter, "How's your sugar-free cheesecake?" Her response, "It's very good, let me get you a sample." Any chance of me getting out of there without buying something went down in flames when I tried their sample. If their sugar-free cheesecake is that good, how good could the rest of the stuff be? So, I bought an 8-inch apple cheesecake for $13. When I got home, I was rushing my husband through dinner because I was dying to try this stuff. When we did - OMG - heaven! It was soooooo creamy and not too rich with a hint of apple pie flavor (but not overpowering) and little chunks of apples in the cream cheese filling and topped with a brown sugar and nut topping. My eyes were rolling in the back of my head! This is great stuff - I can't wait to go back! I have my eye on their White Chocolate Raspberry Cheesecake.

We drove a pretty good distance to purchase two cheesecakes for my mother's birthday. I ordered a small plain and a small fudge brownie. I must be missing something because these cakes did not live up to they hype in my opinion. The plain cheesecake wasn't good. The texture seemed off, it didn't taste fresh, and it was difficult to cut even after letting it sit out and running a knife under water. I called the "shoppe" the next day and the woman who answered the phone was nice and apologetic as she explained what could've gone wrong in preparation (overcooked). She stated that I could get store credit or bring the cheesecakes back for a refund. I should've gotten her name because I want to give her credit for great customer service. She took my name and number and asked when I would be coming in. I thought I was set when someone called me back. The caller identified himself as being from "The Cheesecake Shoppe" and stated that he "heard [I] had a problem with the cheesecakes." Um, what kind of way is that to start a conversation? I started to explain to him the same things that I said the first time I called but he cut me off and said "oh no, they were fresh." He went on to say that he remembered me because I "called back and asked for directions." I corrected him. I never called to ask for directions. I called back to change my order, so, no sir, you do not remember me. He gave me somewhat of a hard time and said "if it's not what you like, it's not what you like." He too offered store credit or a refund, reluctantly. I asked with whom I was speaking and the caller replied "Marvin" with the most irritated tone he could muster. Oh, no, I'm the one who is irritated. The prices are reasonable, I suppose, but the very idea that the birthday honoree didn't like the cake, I (the paying customer) wasn't satisfied and "Marvin" gave me such a hard time, I opted to "return the cakes." It seems odd to return a bakery product, but it just didn't cut it...literally. I'm not trying to scam the anyone, but fair is fair. If I pay my hard earned money for a product, I expect a quality product. We tried to get there after work. We arrived just a few minutes after 6 PM, which is closing time. Understandably, they didn't let us in. Yes, we were bold enough to knock on the door/window with the cheesecakes in hand. We could see them at the display case tending to the same cheesecakes that were there the day before. It was technically after-hours so no one was obligated reopen. I didn't go back (again) to get my refund because I wasn't about to burn out more gas. It's not as though this place is right around the corner. I didn't bother to call back and request store credit because I figured that it wasn't worth it if I didn't like it the first time. Even if I happened to be in the area, I wouldn't stop in. It just wasn't wroth it. I returned home, short $26, with the same old (literally) cheesecakes. I opened the plain cheesecake to find that the color was more 'yellow' than the day before and the smell clearly indicated that it was going bad. I tossed it in the can. The fudge brownie still had a chance, I think, so I gave it away. I can't personally speak for that, but I heard that it was "okay." For the miles I drove and the expectations that I have, "okay" is not "okay" with me.

I am a waitress and I always refer my customers to the Cheesecake Shoppe. Absolutely the best!
